Zumi's Exhibit

Exhibit: Zumi’s Topsfield

March 10 - April 12, 2025

How do you hold an art show in a coffee shop in challenging times? How do you NOT?

I’ve been talking with a lot of people about what we are worried about, what we want to change, how we stay grounded, and gratitude.

Coffee and time show up in the latter two. Art, humor, sharing food, gardening, talking to each other – these are things that fight oppressive gloom and keep us going.

I am a queer lifelong artist from North of Boston who is interested in social justice, community, climate, and anti-capitalism. Inspired by coastal Maine, patterns, portraiture, I’m always trying to “catch that line” – the curve of a mountain, an island, a face or state of being.

This exhibit focuses on six methods of printing and collage. Each grouping has a short description of the method.

To purchase a piece, put a red dot sticker on it and email me to arrange payment (Venmo, cash, check). Art can be picked up at the end of the exhibit time, or arrangements can be made for after.

10% of profits from this exhibit will go to GLAD Law (GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders), which works to “create a just society free of discrimination based on gender identity and expression, HIV status, and sexual orientation.”

Meet me during Artist’s Hours!

Instead of a reception I’ll be doing art at Zumi’s and would love to meet you!
