Gelli Print

Gelli Print

For this method your printing matrix is essentially a rectangle of something very much like a thick layer of Jell-o. This matrix holds paint but also allows you to push the paint around, remove paint, block it with other materials, etc. It is a very fluid process. For example, you could roll on color, daub some areas with a paper towel to make texture, lay a leaf on top, then press the paper on to print. The image would have a blank space where the leaf was. If you then remove the leaf and print onto another paper, it will now print the color that was previously hidden underneath the leaf.
